KuroYasha • 11 months ago

the lack of wounds and blood really turns me off, but the choreography almost makes up for it

Fellow Daoist Hans • 3 months ago

Good luck adding more blood and wounds and CCP will cancel this show...

The best part was when they did all the fighting

WuLongti • 4 months ago

the fights in this series are so good! everything feels like it has weight and momentum. the animation is top notch. So many of these series are just dudes floating in the air waving their hands in vague gestures as blasts of light smash into each other. I do wish that things weren't so treasure based though. nearly all the power moves hinge upon what treasure you have and how you use it, which negates the whole cultivation level aspect... which I guess is why Han Li is able to excel here.

Han li: Spider brother how about we talk about this

The Will Of D{ick} • 2 years ago

The animation looks amazing! Also in my top 5. Glad this is back!

Meeno • 2 years ago

agreed, once the series is done I am going to go back and read the LN

Aerlis Ambrosius • 2 years ago

Its amazing. The LN I mean. But I did finally get bored after 1900+ chapters and I gave up a few hundred chapters after he ascended to the immortal world.
But the top comment on Wuxiaworld sums it up nicely:

"I'll just say it straight away. RMJI is a novel for people sick of harems, rape, pointlessly arrogant young masters, constant lame face slapping, and overly talented main characters who are naturally gifted with the highest possible talent and/or an absolutely overpowered cheat item and/or introduced right away to a teacher that guides them through the most optimal cultivation path possible.

The main character is not a hero filled with a passion for all that is good, nor are they an edgy anti hero that people love because they go around breaking laws at first glance just because they can…"

Meeno • 2 years ago

I am a member of WuxiaWorld as well. Wonderful site. Have too many novels on the go. I am ok with the boring parts. MGA is rinse and repeat mode as are a few others I am reading. Looking forward to starting this one.

Aerlis Ambrosius • 2 years ago

Yeah, I don't know how many I have read so far...too many. Right now I am reading Ancient Godly Monarch by Jing Wu Hen, same author as Peerless Martial God - which he is so famous for. Strangely, I like AGM much better. The very 1st cultivation novel I ever read years ago was Peerless Martial God. I started reading it after being introduced by the manga and I wanted more. I never finished it though after 2,000 chapters I finally got sick of it. I am currently up to chapter 1712 in AGM and its been a roller-coaster on the edge of your seat the entire time. Never bored.

Meeno • 2 years ago

I currently have Absolute Resonance, Beastmaster of the Ages, MGA, Emperors Domination, NSHBA, TDG and Yama Rising on the go. Fanren is on my reading list. Probably am going to start it within the next month or so after this season is done.

Aerlis Ambrosius • 2 years ago

I read MGA up till he went to the upper world, after he went to the Northern continent. After that it did start to drag. But it was really awesome up till that point. Kind of same story for Peerless Battle Spirit. I completed Flying Sword Sovereign, BTTH, WDQK, Pan Long, The Great Ruler and most of anything by the author: Heavenly Silkworm Potato, although I read the manhua for "Dragon Prince Yuan Zun" and not the novel. Also Super Gene, True Martial World, TDG, Reincarnation of the Greatest Sword God, The 2nd Coming of Gluttony (excellent Korean webnovel), Devouring the Heavens, Dragon Apotheosis, Dragon Marked War God, Rebirth of the Urban Immortal Cultivator, Against the Gods, 9 Star Hegemon Body Art, A Will Eternal, Ancient Strengthening Technique...and probably a dozen more that I forgot. There was one that I really liked but quit because there was no one continuing the translation except for a machine translation which is about as entertaining as volunteer root-canal surgery. That one was Eternal Reverence. Strangely, I don't really know why I liked that one. It wasn't really the greatest, its just that the cultivation system was so exceptionally mathematical that it made me always thinking about it. Oh, and The Strongest System was hilarious.

Meeno • 2 years ago

lol, between us we have covered the gambit of novels. I have read all of the series by Heavenly Silkworm Potato. Dragon Prince Yuan Zun I read the LN and am reading the manhua also. Long Chen from Nine Star Hegemon is probably one of my fave MC as is Li Qiye from ED. No one does massacre and race extinction quite like he does.

Aerlis Ambrosius • 2 years ago

lol quite right, although I wonder how the uninitiated would take this? "No one does massacre and race extinction quite like he does." lol

Meeno • 2 years ago

hopefully curiosity kills the cat and they decide to read and find out. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ˜Long Chen and the 'Dao of Slap' is a gift that keeps on giving. 😏

Aerlis Ambrosius • 2 years ago

If you read The Strongest System - Lin Fan's epic level 1,000 slap technique never fails to impress. He has even slapped gods into obliteration and its always funny as hell.

Meeno • 2 years ago

I will add it to my reading list.

Aerlis Ambrosius • 2 years ago

Try reading just the 1st 5 or 6 chapters. You will be laughing. There were many times I almost peed myself laughing, especially at his martial arts ultimate secret techniques like "monkey steals peach" omg too funny!

Meeno • 2 years ago

added to my reading list on WW. Will start it after I finish the updates for my other novels 😊

Camion • 2 years ago

Oh, since you read the light novel, you might know (if you also read the manhua). There are quite big differences between the manhua and this donghua. Which one is the nearest to the novel ?

ArchAngel • 1 year ago

Oh, there is definitely changes but they try to keep the core of the story.

Camion • 1 year ago

Yes, but which one, between the manhua and the donghua is the nearest to the novell ?

ArchAngel • 1 year ago

I have not really delve to much into the manhua. Mostly the novel.

Aerlis Ambrosius • 2 years ago

I do read copious amount of really bad cultivation manhua, which are almost always based off of a light novel/webnovel. Often I will read a manhua 1st and get interested enough to read the novel. In this case it was the other way around. I read the novel because everyone was praising it. So I read it, or most of it anyway, and it was really good...however, I couldn't bring myself to read the manhua when it finally came out. It was just so horribly bad and seemed too radically different from the novel. I don't remember much but the manhua glossed over important events and got the feel of the emotions wrong on other important events...so I quickly discarded the manhua.

Camion • 2 years ago

Ah, OK... X-D

I must admit that the art style of the manhua disappointed me a little, but since I didn't read the light novel (yet ?), it helped me to understand unclear points in the anime. However, as I told above, there are some major differences between the two (like elder sister Chen not present at all in spirit stones mines, or Xuan Er not present in the Yin and replaced later by some Xin Ruyin has no relationship with Mistress Zan, etc., and to make things more complicated, some of those character are just not documented at all on the fandom site)

Clawzes • 2 years ago

is this the REAL SEASON 2 I must know since most of us got brick on: -Fanren Xiu Xian Chuan: Fanren Feng Qi Tian Nan Er Episode 9 English Subbed. Season 2 which was a recap of season 1...

RohanOf ElvenPower • 2 years ago

episode 9? season 1 had like 26 episodes or something in the 40s? more than 9 anyway
